Whats Your Bettas Favourite Treat?

So what do you give your Bettas as a treat bar the obviouse and delectable bloodworm? .

So far ive tryed the boys on peas, which went down a treat and cucumber which radish enjoyed but left Captain Barbosa un-amused.
Does anybody know if banana would be ok? I've heard some fish like it and was curious.

I feed Midnight frozen food every other day but what he really likes is live brine shrimp. He loves chasing them around the tank. He only gets these once every couple of weeks so when he does get them he really enjoys them.

As for the girls, they love thier bubbles. I have an air stone in their tank and they love swimming through the bubbles when it is turned on. (i turn it off at night time)

The girls also like peas whereas Midnight wont go near them, im going to try them with blanched cucumber next.

One of my females loves having her picture taken whereas the others are a little camera shy as when i go near them with the camera they swim to the back of the tank!

well there;s one reliable way to find out...try it and see and then let us all know how it went

I'm tempted i'l try it now and see how it goes. They seem to preffer sinking food so it should be ok!

Ok so once again The captain was un impressed it's been murder trying to get him to eat.

On the other hand however Radish stalked his- it floats around the tank bit eventually sinks- and took a few chunks out of it untill it sank. Now hes circleing it and lunging at it every now and again i dont know whether hes eatin it or just playing but its good fun all the same

Must protect the bubblenest from the evil fish banana!!!

Any live foods - Blood worm brine shrimp (This is what I have read)

Its more about trying and seeing really. Every betta has mind of his own dont they

Will be trying mine on some banana tomorrow and let you all know how he took it lol

The banana was soo funny lol. I'm just guna try a bit of everything really and see what they like. I want to give them a varied diet like they would have in a natural enviroment. The hikari pellets go down but not too well and The Captain is still being picky and i havnt seen him poop yet so he may get the starve and pea treatment for a few days to flush his systam. Then back to pellets with treat days.
