As has been said, some people will steal anything. The things that confuse me is when someone steals something that has no value, but leaves something actually worth stealing. Ie, going past my kids outdoor toys (scooters, sit and ride etc) to steal the prop for a washing line... and a piece of hose...
I must live in a very law-abiding area then. I had my old bath out front for about 3 weeks. No-one even tried to steal it. Which meant I had to take it up the tip myself.
