Whats Wrong With My Guppy

Hello, I have a beautiful guppy who just had fry a week ago tomorow. She sill has the black spot near her bottom and she had been getting very big again and her belly is starting to sqare off. Is she going to have more fry already or is there somthing wrong with her?

Yes she is going to have more fry....although that is awfully quick for a livebearer to get pregnant again. its usually 4-5 weeks

she could have harboured sperm.

They have been known to do this

If a guppy has been with a male before, it can quite easily store sperm for future use. If this is the case, the guppy in question will be pregnant as soon as she has fry and the cycle repeats.

This can happen up to 6 times.

After only a week, she is not close to another drop. A guppy takes about 4 weeks to develop a new bunch of fry. If she is getting very large that quickly, look at the amount she is eating rather than looking for fry.

well, if she decided not to release all her fry at once then she can release some more in a week....i only know this as mine has just done it, and i only have 1 female.....so i would only guess that is what has happened
