Is this moss, or some kind of hair/beard algae, or what? It was growing in the clay dog water bowl outside... at first I thought it was blue-green algae, because outside it was pearling like mad and looked like a slime at first, but it's definitely not. It looks pretty cool, whatever it is 
(obviously I was collecting mosquito larvae)
I put a clump in my dwarf puffer tank, just for the heck of it... if it turns out to be algae it won't matter, as you can see the tank already has plenty of that
. I've been procrastinating on scrubbing it because I have to take it down to move it in a couple of weeks anyway and I'll clean it then, so why do it twice?
The unknown stuff is right in front of the Java moss.
