looks like an echindorous - 'black' maybe??

Hmm googled it and i don't think it's that. It can't be rare, it was only cheap! hehe

Its def an Echinodorus of some time, difficult to tell which speices though. Its got its out of water leaves on at the moment, now its underwater it'll produce leaves that are long and with more leaf area.

Ahh well, not too bothered anyways. Should it have brown patches on it?

Nope, that's anubias barterii. Could it be echindorous radicans?

looks like a swordplant called ozelot or freckled sword. It has the brown spots/patches on its leaves
If the brown spots on the leaves is algae then it would be a radican or black, same thing.
Radicans are cheap swords.
