It's like a white fur almost. Only on the one though.

Isolate the fish IMMEDIATELY! If you fail to do this, you could have a whole-tank epidemic on your hands. It definitely looks like a fungal infection. You'll need to apply something like a 1% phenoxethol solution (in distilled water) to your hospital tank (if you've got one).

One of the more experienced members might be able to help. There may be a root cause to this that you'll have to address first. :) Hope you get it sorted.

Hi, sorry to see that your fish is sick, I would advise you to re post this in the emergencies section, they are great at this sort of thing. Sorry I can't be of any help myself.

I've put them in a jug. They are going to have to tough it out tonight til tomorrow. I have two with fungus. They're the newest members being a week with me.

My own guess is columnarus. Try posting your pictures in the tropical emergencies section. People who hang out there are far better than we are at diagnosing diseases.

Thanks, I've posted there too. I've only had them a week, the platy's. I bought them from cascade in bury, Manchester. They have a good reputation and have never seen me wrong.

I bought my plec there, and my 3 gouramis. And they have all been fine. My ammonia is rising, and I'm on that daily. I think I was too rough with my filter sponge and killed a lot of the bacteria when I did my last clean out and floss change.

I'm going to try abyss in Stockport, apparently they are huge and very knowledgeable. We will see.

It was old tank water. But I think I was too rough with it.

Been to abyss. I've got some powder for anti fungus, dose the whole tank up daily it says. And some pro bacteria cycle aid stuff.

Both should help :)
