thanks wilder have bought some sera nematol online should be here in a few days. Did a quick vac today of the ones i could see lying at the bottom, but will do a proper good one removing rocks and stuff before adding the med.

Would waterlifes sterazin be any use for anything like this?

No its crap on internal parasites. It says in only controls internal parasites. It might not even work on camallanous worms.

i managed to get a picture of the stuff i said was on my tank floor i think it could but lots of little poos actually but its wierd there is so much and all really small in one particular area

sure thing, got a water change tomorrow aswell anyway. Is it worth mentioning that there has a been a few snails in the tank that ive been removing and one of my platy dropped fry which i'm letting fend for them selves, any of these a factor maybe?

Maybe the snails.
Do a gravel vac this way you will clear whats there, to see if its happens again.
