I'd like to know which is the most agressive Cichlid & also what's the largest cichlid? Also, is a Snakehead in the Cichlid family?

idk about most aggressive, but i would save dovii, or wolf cichlid is the biggest. am i right?? i think they can get two foot plus.

I would say yes to both on the wolf cichlid, and no a snake head is not a cichlid

Well now....let's see..............

Largest cichlid.....There are several species of peacock bass (yes these are classed as cichlids) that get very large and I do know some who keep them in home aquaria!!

Largest Tanganyikan cichlid...Boulengerochromis microlepis....3ft plus!!!

I will do a search for the largest C/S American species when time permits, but I believe it would be.....Caquetaia umbriferus

According to Ad Konings in the feb 03 issue of TFH the microlepis is also the best tasting cichlid in the world. :D

there is a toss up for the most aggressive and largest cichlid, and it is between a Dovii and a Umbee both have recorded sizes of 24+ inches
