t8 tubes are bigger than t5

they apparently have less power than t5 bulbs and thus are favoured for plant growing as they also have a higher spectrum, somethign do do with t5's having 'less tube' to get in the way

also from what i understand t8 bulbs need to be replaced more frequently [cant remember why though]

i may be wrong mind
