Ive got an aquarium which is a quite tall and got lots of sides and i am going to slope the gravel so the crabs can get to the surface I have 18 normal pond tadpoles that are going in the pond soon so which is a good crab which are good to watch and are nice to other fish??? :S

All crabs need land, red claw crabs, the most common type, about 1 sq. ft of land is reccomended per crab. Add to that all are oppertunistic when it comes to catching and eating fish, and red clawed crabs, at least, do much better in brackish water.

I know someone who had a Red Claw Crab once and it ate his Corydoras, it was horibble to say the least.
But I do think Crabs are cool.

I think the problem you will have is that crabs are not nice to fish, fish are their food and if they can get them they will. I know I say this all the time, but I really believe that all "freshwater" crabs should be kept in species only tanks.
