Hi all.

i bought a plant from pets at home and no idea what it is. the guy said itd be good for my tropical tank.

heres a pic

any other suggestions of plants to go with this one?

i think its a hygrophelia but not sure which one possibly hygrophelia polysperma
 
Yes, it looks like Hygrophila Polysperma. Some interesting statistics about this plant that may interest you.

Its from Asia,
Grows between 25-40cm high
Lghting: low-very high
Temperature: 18-30C
Its grows fast and is generally recommended for beginners.

I started off with this in a 180L that was 20" high, the plant soon broke the water surface and shot out of the tank. Best to keep it trimmed if it does this and replant the cuttings, a new shoot will grow from the cut end also :) Very easy and manageable plant, just be sure to plant it at the back of the tank as it can become quite overpowering under good growing conditions.

Also you may want to take it out the pot and plant it, separating each stem and planting a cm apart of so. You'll get far better growth, also if you leave it like this light won't be able to get to the lower leaves and the stems will slowly lose their leaves.
