Whats Happening With My Bubble Nest?

Bubble Nest

My male Gourami has started making a bubble nest but by morning it merges into one big bubble. Should I be prepared for a nest of it is just normal for him to keep producing them. I have a community tank so am a little concerned that the eggs/fry would get eaten so need to know my next step to protect them.
