Hey, I have a few questions regarding my tank. This is the first time i've had a lot of plants so please bear with me!
When I ordered my plants a lot of red/pink ones came. I removed a lot of them today as they were so soft and wilted :( I also have a lot of crypts I think-they are doing fine. The grass I have isn't growing very well. I have anubias which my male fighter has claimed as his-that's lovely and green. The long skinny tall plants which look like grass have got see through bits on them if that makes sense. The amazon swords have some leaves which are yellow.
I didn't have any problems with any plants in my small 40 litre. Then again I only had cabomba and that really long plant which looks spiky. Now I have my 64 litre and these plants I don't even know some of them and they are a lot fancier than what I am used to!
The lights are on in the tank from about half 9am until 5pm.
Here are some pics, I just put the lights on in the tank and they all rushed to the top thinking they were getting fed.
This is the tank when I first planted everything.

This is it now after I had to remove most of the plants.

What's going wrong with them?
Also if I get java moss can I leave it to float?
Thanks

Are you using any fertilizers?
no  I just thought you plant it and they absorb food from the fish waste. I didn't have any fertilizers in my old tank and my plants were fine :/

shall I get something like this?

The best liquid fertilizer is Seachem Flourish IME. Just dose once a week per instructions, and be amazed :hyper: You could probably overdose a little, seems as if your plants need some TLC :good:

+1 on what crossfire said. It doesnt look like the normal waste from your fish are doing the trick, you plants are starving. you can also get api root tabs, and stick the under the substrate at the plant roots. those work wonders!

Flourish will work if your fish/water are supplying enough nitrate and your food/water are supplying the phosphate.
The Tetra stuff will do the same, although whether you choose a brand that mentions such comedy as -
It does not contain free nitrate and phosphate which pollute the water and promote the growth of algae in the aquarium
- is entirely up to you :good:

Thanks for the help. I am going out to look for some right now! Hopefully save some of these plants :good:
