Whats a good way to preserve the paint on ornaments, I know they dont last forever but I was just wondering.
Reason Im asking is because I just got a discountinued ornament in the mail from ebay and the chances of me getting another are slim.
I want to keep it up for as long as I can....

Are you talking about keeping it in your tank, or in storage or something?

Well I'm not sure there is much you can do to combat against fading, but if you are concerned about wear and tear on the paint from cleaning off algae or something you could try coating it with an aquarium safe epoxy if you don't mind the possibility of it looking "glossier". Definitely test that approach on something you don't care about first.
