I don't think anyone can deny that males are generally more attractive, but nothing is more fun than a tank full of pretty little girls chasing each other around! I chose "both".
I don't get as many photos of my girls just because they are in a community tank with lots of plants, while the males are in plastic boxes that are perfect for photography. Just for you, I'm going to start a thread for posting pics of only female bettas! Let's see if we can buck the trend.![]()
betta girl are you on httpI prefer the girls, as I can pay less for the same amount of good genes. I've gotten great spawns out of some awesome females, despite not spending an arm and a leg on them. Plus, with the short fins and their (somewhat) peaceful manner (more-so than males), they can be kept in a sorority which saves numerous jar cleanings, and speeds their feeding. And for the fact it's not always easy to find females in pet stores, when you do find them they are quite the find and therefor more special to one.
