Wel as the poll says....
i must admit prefering my females due there easy going and nosey nature....
but i notice everyone posts pics of there boys but dont notice many pics of girls!

i like them both, i like the males for there long fins and graceful movements and i like my females i got cuz they each have there own personality and the other day i held some shrimp pieces and hand fed my oldest female and after she got it away from me she took it and started shaking it like a shark and tearing at it which was fun to watch. my male wants nothing to do with the shrimp, he just wants his flake food he's always been fed, i give him something else and he looks at me like i'm stupid and wont touch the other stuff.

Females are alright though.... But I prefer males.

I ike them both, males are much prettier in my opinion, but females are hardy, and have fun and interesting personalities, and di I forge to mention the fact that they jump.

I don't think anyone can deny that males are generally more attractive, but nothing is more fun than a tank full of pretty little girls chasing each other around! I chose "both".

I don't get as many photos of my girls just because they are in a community tank with lots of plants, while the males are in plastic boxes that are perfect for photography. Just for you, I'm going to start a thread for posting pics of only female bettas! Let's see if we can buck the trend.

I like the boys but I definatly prefer the girls, they have so much personality and I love the fact that they can live together and interact with eachother.

I prefer the girls, as I can pay less for the same amount of good genes. I've gotten great spawns out of some awesome females, despite not spending an arm and a leg on them. Plus, with the short fins and their (somewhat) peaceful manner (more-so than males), they can be kept in a sorority which saves numerous jar cleanings, and speeds their feeding. And for the fact it's not always easy to find females in pet stores, when you do find them they are quite the find and therefor more special to one.

It's both for me.
Sometimes my opinion changes though.
Sometimes I like girls better, sometimes I like the boys better.
They both have such wonderful personalities though so I can't choose between them b/c I love them both equally

I do feel a bit more sorry for the females in the stores though. For some reason I just always think that they don't get the attention the males get.
But then I see the poor males in their little cubbies looking all sad and giving me puppy dog eyes and then I start feeling bad for them too lol

I just love them both!

Females, though I don't have any at the moment...

They learn how to hunt and how to scavange for food, and I think their just more intelligent. Not only that, but I think they're more interesting and beautiful since they can change shades at will and of course they get stripes when they're happy.

I could be biased, though, seeing as I am female.....
