What Wrong With My Fish?

I went away to my cottage for three days, (I fed the fish extra before leaving) and when I came back, my poor female betta, Algae, hadan odd pale bump on her back, just behind her head. She's always had a kink in her spine, could it just be getting worse? Or maybe it's some type of parasite caused by stress from not having enough light? (I kept the light turned off but made sure the blinds in my window were open to give them light.) I really don't want Algae to die so please help! =(

I find my light and filter maintain the heat. Try aquarium salt it might be ICH. What color is the bump? Is it in the same spot as the kink?

when you say fed him extra before you went away, how much extra? Only asking cus i made the mistake once of feeding too much and had ammonia & nitrite spike.
Whats your water stats?

The bump's above her kink, on her back whereas her kink is on her side. It's white.
I fed them about twice as much as I usually do. They ate it all.
And I don't know know what my water stats are, I don't have a test kit.
