Ive been keeping tropicals for around 4 years now and will shortly be moving into my own house, on one condition- that i can have a 6x2x2 tank in the living room. :) So what would you fill it with? Ide love to do my first aquascape in the tank so nothing thats going to eat my plants :)

pirhannas
I am not too clear on their behaviour towards plants etc, but i could imagine an amazing aquascaped setup with a group of red bellies roaming around. Would be awsome to see a group of them once you walk into your living room.

Again not really up to date on their bio and possible size etc but that would be shexy as hell! :fun:

piranhas are quite boring to keep IMO why don;t you set up a lovely planted tank with discus and tetras and corys

It would make a lovely display for the living room

I would say to have Colombian Tetras, some Altum Angels, some rare l number plecos and a Snakeskin Gourami :good:

Tetra's. Lot's and lot's of tetra's!
No I agree with the whole discus idea.

Cheers,
Alessa!

in a jovial mood. Water? lol

but my choice would be a shoal of Bala Sharks. along with a colony of cory. plus if you plant the tank, a small shoal of silver dollars to weave through the growth.

I think if i was tempted to setup another big tank I would have to go salty.

Yeah. I've got 2 big tropical at the moment 1 is Community

Red phantom Tetra
Cardinal Tetra
Glowlight Tetra
Panda Cory
Juli Cory
Gold Laser Cory
Black schluzti Cory
(Angel fish,Red Tail Shark, plecos still to be added)

and the other is oscars
3 oscars
1 upsidedown catfish

The community is a nicer chill out and watch tank and the oscars are great personality fish. Think my need for a salt setup has spurred from looking at loads of nano reefs and the challenge of something a bit different.

I've seen that light unit, there was an advert for it in the Decemeber issue of PFK

......cant for the life of me recall the brand name though. Anyone got the issue and could confirm?

EDIT - oh, you found them already
