What Would You Do With 100g?

I would quite possibly think of the open hood jungle look, with big thick branches and exotic plants growing out of it, possibly with some archer fish :) would look quite nice, or instead of archer fish some piranha, if it's big enough.

My 100 gallon is a reef but that is really just an oversized sump for the frogfish tank above it :D

lol. have you ever posted some photos of your full setup on here? I have seen the frog fish photos but would love to see the rest.

The main tank I'm planning at the moment is going to be between 150-180g (UK) with a 75g sump and will be a full reef setup. Still haven't decided on the final stocking yet though.

I'd go hi-tech planted on it, the kind where the plants pop up out the top, total jungle tank with loads of branches.
then id have 10 angels a load of ottos and cherry/green/tiger shrimp and a mahusive shoal of cardinal tetra...

If only I won the lottery :(

Pretty much what i'd do but i'd replace the regular angels for a couple of altums if the tank was tall enough.

 :wipes chin:

Use it as a hot tub? Take a bath? Keep a pet whale? Train yourself for the Olympic swimming team in the comfort of you own home? Thats one HUGE tank!
Your having a laugh lol.Look at cfc's 900 gallon, or even my 270gal.

Reffs are popular as they can look absolutely stunning, i voted reef and high tech planted as they both can look stunning.

Will
I would have to vote for these two aswell

I'd set up a tank for a breeding colony of very fast breeding livebearers, add glass shrimp, maybe a few other small fish, and wait awhile for them to breed. Then, once that is accomplished, add a nandid or two. Don't forget to regularly swap stock.

pahhh
well I have decided what stock I'd have.

about 20 Endlers (6male and 14 female)

20 Guppies, of all different colours (6male and 14 female)

1 male dwarf gourami and 2 females

1 male cinnamon gourami and 2 females

about 10 Corys, of all different sort :)

1 pecostamus of some kind

some shrimp

and that should about stock me up well :)

if not then about 10-20 neon tetras :D
Sorry, but I find that stocking disgusting for a tank that large, although it may look pretty those fish won't exactly do much. :look:

im not expecting fish to do alot but with those in the tank it would create alot of nice colours.

have you seen my 2nd stock for a tank that size?

YEAH altums where what I had in mind but I couldn't remember their name.
talking of altums, have you seen amanos huge tank? now THAT is a beautiful tank.

Seeing as I'm currently setting up new 55 gallon reefs and high-tech planted tanks, I don't think I'd do either one with a 100 gallon at the moment. Instead, I'd put the few big fish I find interesting in the tank. I don't know about stocking levels for big fish, but this would be my dream, mainly oddball tank:

One Black Ghost Knife
One Senegal Bichir
Five Red Line Torpedo Barbs
However many Rubber Eels I can fit in there
One Blue Phantom Pleco

This is quite likely overstocked, as I don't have a clue how to stock oddballs (I know it's not inch per gallon). On the other hand, many of them are "eely" fish, presumably having lower bio-loads than 15 inch long full-bodied fish.

I have posted one shot that shows the fuge that contains the frogs above the reef:

It's a bit old and doesn't show the sump and the plumbing routes are changed now. On top of that I have both MH and 4 T5 tubes installed so the lighting is a bit different.

I don't think I could do a larger tank as a reef without first doing a larger SW pred tank. The reefs are ok, but there are far too many great fish out there to put my first large SW tank as a reef..
