i want to make my 10gal livebearer tank into a planted tank. i have a piece of driftwood and some nice looking rocks that i want to include (either just the wood or just the big rocks).
would any of these look good together? post pics for ideas. i like the tanks with plant 'carpets'.
i want to use any of the following:
-dwarf hair grass
-micro swords
-pigmy chain swords
-fox tail (green)
-Green cabomba
-mayaca fluviatilis (??)

here is the site i looked at. plant under foreground, background, or bunches plants:

thanks

Hairgrass and pygmy chains would look good together, hairgrass as background and chains around rocks and leave the wood out, kind of iwagumi style.

that does look nice!
i like the tanks that have tall plants on the sides and little in the middle. or the tanks with grass around the rocks like:

of course my tank will not look amazing because it is small compared to this but i would enjoy it.

if i got just a square if the grass, will it spread?

Best to plant it spread out and it will eventually spread, those two plants I mentioned are good as they are both fine without CO2.
