Heya,

im going wyvale today (i dont go alot so i need good info ^^)

and basically, i want to know what i need to get.

I have homemade CO2 in the tank, and i have 8 plants in my tank. (with riccia in a tub growing etc)

Now, i know you need iron and potassium, is there anything i should buy for them?

Any bottle that has it all? also, will i need liquid ferts?

Thanks guys

Baguuu ;)

btw its a 20Gal cube tank (orca ra05)

i had a tiny bottle of nutrafin plant care, but it lasted two weeks =/, it said 10ml a week, and the bottle was 20ml =/ quite expensive aswell!

Also, my dad was thinking about putting iron keys in the gravel, as its a trace element for plants, would this work?

okay all done now :D

if i were you:

Aquaessentials. get tropica nutrition plus, and easylife easycarbo, thats ferts covered, you could get tropica substrate. im not sure iron keys would work lol its not just iron, its pottassium, ect.

okay, so i should buy

tropical nutrittion plus and easlylife easycarbo

how long would they last me?

thanks for help DP ;)

soz for the delay. it depends on how much you dose- as you have c02, you will only need a bit of easy carbo. or may even decide to have none at all, 500ml is like £13 so if u dose like 2ml a day its lasting 250 days. tropica nutrition+ dose like 2.5ml a day for your 20gal- so thats 200 days, the substrate helps for plants like crypts, but this is not essential

thank you very much mate ;)

do you use these yourself?

ill take a bit of money ;)

thanks again mate!

bagu:

is this on the 20 gallon? if so i would dose easy carbo instead of the DIY as it probably isnt doing anything if your just using an airstone.

you need to dose:

NPK (nitrogen, phosphorous and pottasium)

and trace elements

so find a fert that has all of these inside, as most ferts only contain the traces and K
as manufacturers believe that excess nutrients cause algae, when they dont

heya mate

yes, its the 20gal cube

i took out the air stone, and put the co2 air line into my powerhead, it break the bubbles up into really tiny ones, and they get blown around the tank, they do a complete cycle and some stay in the tank longer.

Okay, so my list today is to find a liquid fert that contains NPK and trace elements, and possibly easycarbo andtropical nutrition plus!

thanks guys!!
