What Type Of Tap?

Hi,

As I'm getting a new kitchen fitted next month i have suddenly become very interested in taps. The ones i have at the minute are angled in a stupid way and it is impossible to attach a hosepipe. I am looking at getting a mixer tap and wondered whether a standard hose connector is the same as a python connector. if it is i will be taking the hose connector around the kitchen showrooms and trying it on all the taps (sad i know), then once i know it will fit i can get a python. Does anyone have any tap recommendations? or know if the python and hose connectors are the same?

My python has a brass adapter that fits the faucet when I remove the piece attached to the faucet where the water comes out. I have removed the adapter and used it with my garden hose when cleaning a tank outside.
