What Type Of Light?

hi i bought some lampeyes and some neons the other days and was just wandering what type of bulb would be best to show off their colours? or does it matter?

I prefer a ligth that gives off a white light, or atleast something near the blue spectrum. I like how the blue spectrum lights look on the gravels and plants, also it brings out some of the colors in the fish.
