What Type Of Betta Is He

I know exactly what you mean. I practically live at my lfs; the employees have become my best friends! And with the amount of time I stand there looking at all the fish reading all the lables learning about the fish you would think i'd know just about everything there is.. but oh well I still always want to learn more. I'm a fish nerd and proud of it! :)

I wish I was only at just one lol been to a total of 13 the past 2 months almost every other day... Gotten a free watertester, plant bulbs, and betta food sadly all 3 times they wanted me out because they thought I was a soon to be or already betta breeder... Guess it is bad for their business...

13 different ones? 0_0 I dont even think theres that many in my area.. lol Mine actually gave me the idea to breed guppies.. but not bettas. I tried that back in middle school and well.. didnt go to well. I think I only have 1 that survived :S But watching spear I want to so bad again.. but I dont have the space nor do I know what I'd do with all of them once they got older.

Mainly mom and pop fish stores helps a lot and the occasional petco/petsmart I was really trying to find a special looking calico oranda and ended up falling inlove with bettas lol then again I can find the bettas but only seen like 4 orandas lol

Maybe their seasonal fish then? I have the same problem with black ghost knife fish.. I saw them once and that was it <_> The old types of bettas I never seen in the stores though would be the ones with gold.. are they really that rare?

Yeah I mean I have seen a lot of betta and that is the first gold one I have seen as for black ghosts I see them at all the petco/petsmarts and I never thought of goldfish as a seasonal who knows

Wel the big goldfish I conder seasonal because once they run out its a while until they get more... But thats not fair that you see them all the time I'm jealous! None of mine ever have them! grr. I need to have a talk with petsmart lol.

Thanks :) His color shows a lot more in person than it does in the picture. It's funny watching him flare at himself all the time since he can see his reflection in the tank lol.

Thanks, I feel bad for him because I had to take the plants out. Decided to let him have the whole tank for himself instead of shareing it with guppy fry. But that meant moving the plants back to the main guppy tank. Going to the store this weekend though to find lots of plants for him this weekend though :) But he seems pretty entertained by his reflection everyday so I think he'll be fine lol.
