Well yeah, I've made this thread before but it turned into a debate about Ram Cichlids and pregnant diseases.

So, yeah what to stock? No livebearers, plese :X

I don't mind shoals r schools, but this isn't going to be a planted tank. :D I'll put in rocks, some fake plants and hard ornaments. :)

Suggestions?

Well seeing as you don't want livebearers such as guppies or endlers ( if you have all males you won't end up woth loads of babies you know ) , A male betta or very small rasboros ( like galaxy rasboros ) is literally all you could have in terms of fish. Or you could keep an invertebrate community. Shrimps and snails ect.

If you end up with a betta, make extra sure the rocks are nice and smooth, and that the plants are silk, not plastic , so he doesn't snag his fins on them .

how many litres? its 17 isnt it?

if it is you could have 6 wcmm's something along the lines of that.

a betta would be nice.

also inverts and a betta would be good

shrimp tank, get some amanos and cherries and see how it goes to begin with. and then maybe get a betta!

wcmm?

pygmy cories, ill check em out..

Uh, I hate shrimp btw. The room isnt nearly enough for a lot of shrimp though. I've had a shrimpitat there before. Uber failage.

Also, yeah ill check on bettas. You think some Neons/Glow light tetras would be fine?
How many ADF's could fit?

WCMM is White Cloud Mountain Minnows. They're plenty of fun! As for Glowlights/ neons, I reccomend them too. IDk how many ADFs, perhaps 3-4.

Another possibility is dwarf puffers (dp).

Tetras are very active fish, as are Danios. I would not reccommend 5 gals for them at all Not enough room for a school of them, they need to be in groups of 8+ to function correctly as a group.

kk, so ADF's are okay, and not enough room for tetras..

DP? I've thought of them last few weeks but they're a handful. .__. (after i researched.)

My LFS dont sell minnows .__.

I suggest Cory, after having mine a few days there alot of fun. Also they work fine with ADF too so thats a good option.

I wouldn't do pygmy cories, cories in general are active fish and they like to have room to roam around the bottom.

ADFs are good, usually 1 ADF per gallon is fine.

Mr. Wood, by 'green cories' in your sig, do you mean Emerald cories? Because emerald cories get rather large, over 3 inches I think. They would be unsuitable for a five gallon.
