Don't every feed sinking food - the waste becomes trapped in the media, causing ammonia and when you see it build up and decay, it really isn't a pretty sight.

It's not just the food that gets trapped by these abominations. Read around, there are several reports of fish getting trapped in the substrate and Boraras Brigittae are just the right size to suffer the same fate.

What should the OP do with this Biorb? Invert it and wear it on your head as it makes a fetching astronaut helmet but please don't put any fish in there. Sell it and get yourself a proper small tank, your fish will thank you for it.

Not sure about the astronaut idea, but once I upgraded my baby biorb my fish certainly seemed to appriciate it, so I suppose he did thank me for it...
