Last week i was given 3 rainbow fish,2 females and one male, off someone who has bred them himself. They are about 3/4 of an inch in length and his adults are full grown at about 1-2 inches. They eat flake but not much and don't seem all that keen.
What else can i feed as frozen bloodworms are too big?

How about daphnia- they come quite small, and you can set up a little colony. I also use TetraDelica jellied bloodworm, daphnia and brineshrimp for fry- but then of course they have to accept that food can be food even if it doesn't move.

And if that fails, ask him what he was feeding them.

Thanks. :)
I've already tried to get daphnia but was told at Maidenhead Aquatics it's the wrong time of year for them but they do sell small bags during the summer.
I've managed to contact the guy who gave them to me and he said his eat something called a groundal worm which i've not heard of before.
