What To Do With My Betta With Cancer

to be fair though mods, he never was given a fair warning? Maybe if you warned him he would of stopped

Im really sorry, this must be so tough for you, Ive been there myself so many times b4, and it doesnt get any easier, I got myself in a right state when I lost my first betta dave, I know how you feel

Sending you massive hugs xxx

I'm so sorry about your lil guy. If you feel it's best to euthanize him, then well, you know your little betta best.
I've had to put down more bettas than I've ever wanted to so definitely know how hard it is to come to this decision.
Just remember that you gave that betta a great loving life.

He was warned, in September of '06 for replying aggressively, and in October of this year for harassing a fellow member.

Fair warning is when you agree to these basic rules when you register. Two other warnings beyond that is more than fair.

im not saying it was wrong just telling him to stop would have done, banning him for 10 days is a tad harsh

I think I am going to have to, he is mooping around today and though eating is generaly not happy.

azul, if youd want to come over and do it for me that would be really nice. Ill call you on your lunch.

If I were you I'd let him have his fill of food and then euthanize him. Might as well do something he'll enjoy before the end.

I'm sorry you have to do this. :-(

If the fish is not happy I would put him out of his misery bless him.

yea i saw him days ago and he was in a sad state, not technicaly diying at the moment, but he chewed his whole tail off... it probaly had a 2 inch spread before and its dont to the stump of his body,,, he just looks sad.

ok if he is still hanging till i come over tommorow after the drama i will get it done then, as long as you have all the stuff.
we could put him in a match box and bury him in the side yard?

i wish your betta a fast and pain free passing, and what a wonderful sister you have who is coming to help you through this hard time :)

((((sisters))))

there is a wonderful poem i was sent when a family pet died, ok it may not seem right for a fish but you get the meaning. its called rainbow bridge.

"Just over the fields is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... "
