What To Do With Apple Snail Eggs?

I was doing my weekly water change today, and to my surprise found my apple snail has laid a second clutch of eggs right next to the original. It's almost as big as the first, there's probably a few hundred eggs now! How is a single female apple snail producing eggs?!?! She hasn't been near another snail of her special in MONTHS. The only other snails in the tank are MTS, assassin snails, and pest pond snails.

Sorry not sure how i missed this, yeah are right for apples to breed you need a male and female. However the female can store male sperm for about 3 months so he does not need to be in the tank after. best wat to get rid of them is ro scrape off the eggs pop them in plastc bag/dish and leave in the freezer for 2 days then throw in the bin. If you do wan to try raise some just cut the clutch in half

Al, mine have hatched recently, I didn't cut the eggs in half.
It takes a few weeks for them to hatch. I didn't move mine, just left them to it.

sorry i meant if you dont want loads you can cut the clutch in half and raise half and throw away half
Depending on temp and humidity they should hatch within 21-30 days, anything over that they prob infertile.

Well, this snail has been on her own for 5-6 months, so I'm thinking these eggs are probably infertile. I've moved them to my spare 10g above water, and we'll wait and see what happens

yeah they will be im not aware of any apple that has been able to keep sperm that long
