What To Add For Betta Community

So a couple month ago, my friend from school told me he has a 30 gallon aquarium not being used and he said I could have it. He used to kept a Chinese water dragon not until the hatchling grew out of this aquarium but anyways I got the aquarium in December and I found out it a 20 long gallon. Oh well, since then I upgrade my betta from a 5 gallon to now a 20 long.
What should I add? I feel limited to choose from, one- the betta and two- the aquarium gallon. I like to add small shoal of green tiger barbs but I read that a big no-no :sad:

( I LOVE green tiger barb, beautiful fish) is it possible to add a small shoal of red eye tetra? I read tetra are nip eaters which make me nervous. I'm for sure want a small shoal of albino cory or pygmy cory.

the betta will limit your stocking hugely, i would suggest putting him back in the 5 gal then you can have the green tiger barbs you want and will have much more variety to choose from :good:

That even remind that I forgot I have a 55 gallon aquarium in my garage waiting to be use for my baby reeves turtle! :hyper:

And maybe I could put some green tiger barbs in their someday but I just to need to add some cover so the turtle wont eat the fish :lol:

I don't know it is not very easy to find tank mates for betta's...you can try cody cats ( or a type of bottom feeder) as one other person in the betta discussion folder has done.

tetra's will nip at the his fins...and some tetra's may die.
