What Species Is This?

Do you know how big it is and how old?
I don't think it will matter much because I'm 90% sure its a Uaru Cichlid (Uaru amphiacanthoides) Which is a South American Cichlid that grows to about 10-12 inches (about the same size as an Oscar).

It's an adult. I don't think it's that big. It's more like 6 or 7 inches.

An Uaru Cichlid will achieve adult coloration at about 3-4 inches. I think the only other thing it could be is a hybrid between a Severum and a Discus which is likely impossible. I'm sticking with Uaru Cichlid. Anybody else have an idea?

Is it a salt water fish? I have never seen much like it except for snorkeling in hawaii, looks like a type of big damselfish. Doesn't look too much like an Uaru to me, but suppose it could be.

Yes this is a salt water fish. Looking through photos on the internet of damselfish this one does resemble them a lot.

Absolutly saltwater. My closest saltwater shop has one of these in a 160 G display tank. I dont know the name but it looks like a cross between a squirrelfish or some sort of salwater discus? lol
