i would love a 8ft x 2ft x 2ft and fill it with loads more malawi's.what tank do you wish you could have if money and space was no object????

I would love to have the biggest possible tank... An aquarium would be fine.

With some sharks and turtles. :p

sounds nice.i would have lots more tanks if not for the money/space issue

I'd have an indoor pool full of malawi's. I'd have it divided so I could swim in half the pool without worrying about contaminating the malawi tank with shampoo and stuff. I'd also have the pool be above ground and clear so I could see them without getting in the water.

2mtr x 1mtr x 1mtr would suit me
and I'd go marine

Oooh! good thread! I actually drew out my ultimate fishtank a while ago. Its basically a room with one big tank for walls. No gaps for doors or anything, you'd need stairs to get in...or maybe a small bridge. The room would be like 15x16 and it'd be 3 feet wide and 4 feet high! I did the calulations and it would be 4,306 gallons. :> Think about it...the fish could swim and swim and never reach an ending where they had to turn around so they don't feel trapped.

I think I would make it like a natural environment (whats the big word I'm looking for?) where I would have plants and lots of little critters for the schooling fish to eat. Then they would breed alot and the bigger fish would eat the smaller schooling fish. Basically to where it would keep on its own with minimal supplementation. Now you've got me all excited! Look what you've done.

that sounds really cool severina.i was being quite practical in my 8 x 2 x 2.your right though,a massive room sized tank with 100s,or maybe, thousands of fish in would be amazing.

I would be interested in having a tank no bigger than 150 gallons. Thats big enough for any fish you would possibly want to keep, and knowing me I would make it into a Cory Heaven.. with around 20 different species, and about 150 of them in total... :)

im going to be really boring here! :p

I wanted a 4ft tank for ages and we got one .then i really wanted a 6ft and we got one.well its 61/2 feet and I must say im quite satisfied with that

for the time being that is................. :hey: :hey:

do what I did.get your other half involved in aquaria n fishies!

I got my hubby involved and hes as bad as me now!!!

I waited for ages for a small upgrade but girlfriend was putting her foot down, then we had a new baby 2 weeks ago and she hinted at me getting a new tank!!! I was shocked but then realised she wanted a new pushchair instead of previous one from 1st daughter. I agreed readily and now have my 180 litre coming next week. Quite a step-up from a 49-55 litre I have at the minute. I can now get more cories and some plecs and really get going. Bank balance might take a bit of bashing but not to worry, you can't take money with you!!!

So to answer the question, I am over the moon with the tank I have coming and daren't think about anything bigger because g/f would kill me!!!

I would love to knock out the closet in my spare bedroom. Get rid of all the junk being stored there. Line the floor with tile, put down a drain in the floor, and have a sink in the corner. Without the closet, I would have room for a 7 ft. L X 3 ft. W X 3 ft. D. That would be a 404 gallon tank.
