Sea Monkeys are just Brine Shrimp. I've never kept them but they are a good food for fish.
cool, thats what i thought. So would i be able to pick up some sort of hatching kit at my lfs or will this be a little tricky to find? thanks...Sea Monkeys are just Brine Shrimp. I've never kept them but they are a good food for fish.
thats a good idea. I am a little worried about the lighting as it just comes with a small little incandsescent light. I am sure it wouldnt be a problem with low light plants...thanks lord spooky. Anyone know anymore about brine shrimp aka "sea monkeys"?you could always use it as a house for plants! I mean if you have any planted tanks you could grow tiny plants in there until they grew big enough to put into your real tank.
I am talking about raising feeder shrimp yes, i have a bamboo shrimp in my 10 gal lol. And to answer the other question my 1 gallon is a square shape. I am thinking a small java fern for the plant. You say they can just feed off of that? Do i buy eggs or what? thanks everyone. No problamo. Any type of shrimp should be fine in that tank. The debree from the plants would make a great food supply for them.
Edit: Are you talking about feeder shrimp for your fish? In that case than yes they would be fine in there. Only have a bamboo shrimp so sorry if im wrong on what type of shrimp they are.
Thanks lord spooky,You could buy eggs or live ones depending on what your LFS has to offer. Feeder shrimp pretty much feed off of things we cant see. A tank that looks crystal clear still houses food for them. So throwing in a plant or two wouldn't hurt anyone.
