O have a 37 gallon tank with a pair of bala sharks and an Angelfish. Along with 3 tetras(soon to be 6) They are all still young but I understand they will grow much to big for my tank.

see if the LFS you bought the balas from will take them back. You MAY get some money for them.

Any ideas for what to do with the tank?

What do you mean what should you do with the tank?

And what is wrong with the tetras? Most tetras are perfectly suitable for a 37gal (140litre) tank. And unless it's a really shallow tank, most 140l tanks will be tall enough for an angel.

Other than the bala sharks which can easily be rehomed/given away to a fish shop. I can't see what your problem is?

Once the Balas are gone, you still may need to decide between keeping the Angels or Tetras in this tank (so either a new tank or another fish to sell/re-home), as adult Angels snack on Neon Tetras. What Tetras have you got?

The Angels will need 18" of water depth (so excluding the gravel/sand and the air space above the water) to prevented stunted growth. Does your 37g fulfill that requirement?

IMO your only problem is the balls, not sure but I think the need 125 gal. Or more. As others have said as long as your tank has 18 inches depth The angel should be fine. You may need to think about the tetras, some species will become prey for them. So what kind do ya have?

They are big enough can't remember the name. They are red. Thanks for the replies I will remove the ballas.
