What Sex Is 'it'

thats what i am doing, i can't get any of them to respond to a mirror so hoping they are girlies, if not no big deal just an excuse for another tank or two

My boyfriends new male betta doesn't respond to a mirror; he backs away and swims away lol.

EDIT: I've had one girl who would respond to a mirror...

Well they are all still together in the 15 gal at the minute, there has been another bubble nest but other than that no agression, all there fins are now perfect, the definate females will be going into a 125l shortly and i will be dividing the 15 gal for the male

i will get some update pictures of them when they move over to there new tank in about a weeks time (too many floating plants to focus on them)

am thinking its the pastle DT thats the male so 'he' will be styaing in the 60 l i think

Males will also have much, much larger crests when they flare. Females flare, but only have a slight crest that protrudes from the gills. Males can be very large, and very round.
