I have a 190 ltr tank stocked with the following.

6 Emperor tetras,
4 Scissor tail rasbora
4 cardinals
2 popondetta furcata
2 african dwarf frogs
1 denisoni barb

what would be the best plec to go with them? dont really want it growing more than 10cm as i would like to also add a pair of rams too.

Bristlenose pleco could work. Do be aware that plecos add waste (ammonia) directly to the filter in copius amount's which result's in more nitrates. The idea of purchasing these fish as "cleaner Fish" is flawed for afore mentioned reason.
With that said,, And you simply like these fish,,then nothing wrong with purchasing them .

cheers for the advice, i wanted one of those but the lady in my life doesnt like the look of them, may have to twist her arm.

how about 2 hong kong plecs?

(Hillstream) or Hong kong could work ,they appreciate somewhat soft water and moderate current.
LDA 025 pleco would be another small pleco I might consider.(love these guy's)

i have a bristlenose about 18cm long so bigger than 10cm

hillstream loach like strong current and cooler water, certainly cooler than what the cardinals like

you could do with an L46 Zebra but they cost a good £80 plus

i would be looking towards peckolitia or hypancistrus genus for the size and temp range your looking at maybe L134 leopard frog plec or L260 queen arabesque or possibly slightly larger L333 yellow king tiger or L066 king tiger all these are stunning looking plecs priced between £20-£40 for a good sized 1 !

Most of the Hypancistrus should work as well as many of the Peckolitas. If your better half doesn't like the bristley faces on the males, get a female.

On another note, the Denisoni barbs do (and look) best when kept in groups.

i know this about the barbs but the one i recently purchased has spent the last 4 months on his own in a tank with gouramis at the shop so he is used to being on his own with different fish.

he seems to be pretty happy in the tank

Im glad i got rid of the two plecs i had, buggers just uprooted everything i planted! Bristle nose jobs would be alright though, ugly buggers :)

i ended up getting a female startlight bristlenose
