So, a 10 gallon tank housing 5-6 female bettas - what do you plant in it? What plants do your bettas seem to like? And what, if any, lil critters should I include - shrimp, snail, oto??

Hi i have a plant that my betta loves

Really bushy stuff the only down side with this is that you have to plant each strand so the leaves arnt touching another plant so u cant just bush it all togetger ill set up my laptop in a min and post a picutre for you hang tight :(

Mine seems to like the Cabomba.
I have a big clump of it & he likes to rest on it.
He also likes to sit on the piece of wood under the Java fern

I have anubis, java fern and marimo moss balls in my tanks. My guys love them :)

How Hard are they to keep? How much light do they need? What do they require?

I don't use ferts or any special lighting & mine seem to do ok.
I have Anubias, Cabomba, Java fern, some Crypts & Java moss in my tank

I think they like it because it's soft, but in a big clump it can take their weight.
The lady at my Lfs put it a good way, she said it's like us carrying a blanket round all the time, they need to take a rest

Yeh but it dsnt grow properly that type of plant needs to have room the leaves cant touch for a healthy plant and forget spounge that plant hates spounge just substrate my cabomba is just held in by the sand :)

Mine is in a big clump & grows like a weed, I have to keep thinning it out

Next time I thin out out, you're welcome to it.
I'm not normally good with plants, but I can't kill this one.
When it gets too tall, I just nip off the top & stick it in the substrate.
Another one I want to try is parrot feather, I think he might like that too, but haven't seen any in my Lfs for a while

What plants would you buy from this site, if you have a limit of $29 to spend (excluding shipping) to entirely stock the 10 gallon for female bettas??

I would heavily plant the tank, with moneywort, anacharis, broad leafed anubias, water wisteria, green cabomba, hornwort, java moss, guppy grass, amazon sword plants, and brazilian penny wort, they are all low tech plants IME
