Well, if I can convince my dad to let me use my spare 10 gallon for a dwarf puffer tank, instead of one of my divided bettas tanks, I will have a whole bunch of critter keepers, and a 5 gallon left over. I'd use the critter keepers for transporting fish, but I have a 5 gallon hex, which that wouldn't be good for transportation. So I was wondering, other than dwarf puffers, bettas, shirmp (any invertbrate for that matter), or frogs, what fish can I keep in a 5 gallon?

Normal list I give out, (though there are 100's if not 1000's of fish suitable)

a betta, everglades pygmy sunfish, Scoloplax empousa, trio of killifish, a red claw crab a dwarf puffer, Shrimp, snails, adf's, bumblebee goby, micro rasboras, pygmy cories, oil catfish, peacock gobies, white cheek gobies

Hmm, very interesting options! I'd like either the Red Claw Crab, trio of Killifish or a Bumblebee Goby. Though, if I can actually find one, I'd like Peacock Gobies really bad. Those would be my choices. Since my LFS don't really cary crabs, do you think Petsmart or Petco would have them?

Remeber the crab will need access to land and brackish water and the bumble bee gobyies also need brackish.

I can provide brackish... a fiddler crab could work, right? So... if I don't decide on the brackish, I'll either go with the killies or peacock gobies. How many of those peackcock go in a 5 gallon?

Not sure I know peacock gobies need planted tanks with caves. Maybe one or two might work.

A fiddler would work I think.

Wait, before I forget, does it have to be a certain kind of Killifish?

Most killifish are pretty small. Franksaquarium has a selection of nano-fish I think, you could look there if you need other ideas. A fiddler would also appreciate a sandbed more than "just a rock sticking out of the water".

Oh I definately know that, I'd buy some sand and build like a little trench going down to the water. So hard decisions! I'd really like some crabs, but then again, I want the peacock goby. I have no idea who sells them around here though. Oh well, I have atleast a month to wait.
