What Moss Is This?

I think its flame moss but was sold to me as xmas moss

its hard to tell as its at a young stage but it looks like flame moss.

looks like common old Java Moss. It may be called different names in different parts of the world.
It's a good plant that grows well and can be used for breeding egg scatterers.

I have got java moss and they aren't the same colour, texture or appearance

Java Moss can be dark or light green, depending on how fast it is growing. Usually the new tips are lighter and the old parts are darker.
It also depends on tank conditions and the camera taking the picture.

Can you take a closer pic of take some out of the wanter and place in a shallow bowl to take a photo?

i'd say flame moss as xmas moss is supposed to have each piece like a xmas tree and is thicker lol. The net could do with being a bit tighter so that fish don't get tangled up in it
