Christmas moss or Java moss

Hi hi,
I got a couple balls of each, Xmas moss and Java moss
They have since become intertwined and getting these cool little white nubs on the one I think is the Xmas moss.
Which is which please?
I am looking to the far right on that piece of Manzanita
I think the stringy stuff is the Java moss

I believe you are correct. Christmas moss will look a little thicker and tends to mat down a bit more then Java moss. Java moss tends to look a bit stringy.
