What Live Foods?

It seems fish will eat anything, even each other, but what is safe for them to eat that I can find in the garden? For example, live flies onto the water surface, woodlice, even small worms. Is this wise, unwise or just try-it-and-see what happens?

Me personally wouldn't you don't know where the insects have been they could have been near pesticides and other harmfull chemicals that could kill your fish

this is a personal example and other people might have different views.

Stay with bloodworm and brine shrimp from your lfs.
