What Is Your Favorite Dwarf Cichlid

nice to see a complete list of SA dwarfs... including all 600 or so apisto species...... :/

Cichlids <4"/100mm are considered dwarf, irregardless if their origin, and irregardless of partial information on a website, grow up & get over it.

Couldnt agree more.

This thread is pathetically Ram biased also.

IMO Rams are a poor mans Apisto...not only are they duller than most but also a fraction of the price.

I payed !2.99 USD when I could have paid 7.99 USD for an apisto. Rams are more expensive.

Rams are £3.99 each or £6.99 a pair in my LFS's and Apistos start at around £10+

Mine would be Apistogramma Borellii....just havent been able to get my hands on any yet, but I love any apisto species

i have recently introduced a pair of apisto neijieta 2's (sorry spelling)

they are such a nice fish.cost abit but much worth it.

the male apisto has calmed my dominent GBR completley.

i would have to say its 1 of the best introductions of a fish i have ever had.

Are keyholes dwarf cichlids, since we want to get so techinal about it. I think that if a cichlid is smaller than all of the rest and is truely a cichlid, it should be classed as a dwarf cichlid. But that is just my opinion, not some scientist's opinion. And actually Glenbo, rams werre first classified as apistogramma. :good:
