Stocking it with pea Puffers eventually :)
Pea puffers aren't good tank mates to other fish.
If you intend to make it a mixed fish community please take note. If they haven't a constant line of snails waiting to be eaten, they start on other fish. And hey, they are very quick when they hover in front of one then spring into action.
I had one in a community tank to rid myself of snails and it succeeded it started on my corys. It hassled one in particular as it had destroyed most of its tail so followed it around to snak on the remains.
If pea puffers are the only intended inhabitants then a tank of that size is a bit over the top as they aren't roving fish and tend to hang about under cover then spring out only occasionally for a meal.
Just my thoughts......

It’s going to be a species only tank. I know it’s abit overkill but when the plants grow in with 8-10 puffers in it it should be fine we’ll as far as I’m aware? Correct me if I’m wrong?

The white residue is from the ceramic media; the Fluval media, when new, needs to be rinsed thoroughly before use, it is very dusty and has alot of particulates...won't harm anything in the tank, however, just unsightly

That’s the answer I’ve needed. Thanks a lot for that! My own fault then. Should I remove this and rinse it (I’ve not started my cycle yet) tanks been running 4 days now or should I leave it and suck up the remaining stuff that has shifted out?

More than welcome....it's up to you how you handle it, hoover as much as you can, or leave it be...like I say, it won't cause harm

Thanks a lot buddy! I can start my cycle tonight now knowing it’s nothing bad. I did have a feeling it may be that due to how hard it was

That will be sweet!

that may not be from the filter medium, it might be calcium that clumps up in little balls
here is a pic of how it does in an old garden hose nozzle.
