is this an amano shrimp or ghost shrimp in this picture i bought it as a ghost but it looks like an amano shrimp to me

yeah looks like one to me too so how big do they get and what should i feed this little guy so far he has been eating plants flakes etc just stuff on the bottom of the aquarium

Looks like amano to me too but it's a very dark photo. I've had two for a few years, trust me they eat ANYTHING they can find. Mine snatch pellets from fish! I have dozens of shrimp and I've never fed a specific food, although some people do eg for shrimp only tanks.

sinking pellets, flakes that fall to the floor, tablets broken up into little bits, algae, decaying plant matter, dead fish bodies... they'll eat anything mostly!

I think they draw the line at wood, blue green algae, and rock...
