What Is This?

Its hard to describe but i have this thhing that covers nearly the whole top of the tank (except corners)
Its white but in tiny little dots. Someone help

If the top of your tank is metal, it could possibly lime scale. A photo would help us determine what it is exactly.

Alright guys, this picture on the camera looked okay but it looks poor on here..
This is taken from the corner of the tank. It wont help much but hopefully you might have some ideas.
I cleared most of it out by doing a water change but i think theres still some kicking around
