What Is This?

probably just some sort of bug *captain obvious*

your fish probably ate it already lol

If you think about it then it couldn't have been native to the water or it wouldn't have been in a box and still be alive...what could it have done to your tank?

What i dont get is, if it was a worm , how could it be alive? Dont they need water to survive? Could it ahve just been a string, and when the power head was turned on, flew out and wriggled like a worm from the current?

not all worms live in water... lol

Have you seen it since you first saw it?
To be honest I wouldn't worry.

A Maggot maybe?? If box had been in shop for while and if there is food in shop dropped while feeding fish then maggots will breed.

Wow, I really don't know, but it does sound like a nematode. I have lot's of them. Some species are parasites but you're not able to see them without a microscope. They do make good fish food.

Woah it's no big deal I was just saying how some people would not approve of that title. I said it was a *relatively* minor issue.

The new title is perfectly adequate. :)
