My cat found a little pouch of fish food I had and tore up the bag and devoured its contents . In the past I’ve opened a new can of flakes and that smell really excited him . Dogs too . When my late wife’s little Chihuahua mix was still alive I got a thing of micro worms in the mail I ordered from www.fishguysplace.com and she went nuts at the smell .
Any of you have similar goings ons with your feline and canine companions ?

That’s your penalty for purchasing high quality fish food.

C'mon, those are premiere kitty treats! My cat has gotten into mine too but I caught him in time. I had a container of gravel that I was trying to dry out. I put it on the floor by the heat register. Next day I felt the gravel to see if it was dry, and I smelled this terrible odor. Yep, he decided to use it as a litter box  If there's any mischief to be had, this cat will find it.

My Rottie recently went through almost all of a small sized plastic tub of fish flakes when I forgot to put it up on a higher shelf a couple of weeks ago. No idea how the smell got through, as it was a screw on lid, but she found it and devoured contents, not a scrap on carpet in morning. 🐶🐕🥰

My teenaged years cat caught a red swordtail and ate it, but left only its eyeballs staring at me from the carpet on the floor.

Then again, when my kids were in diapers we bought a Costco tub of petroleum jelly to avoid diaper rash, and right after we opened it while visiting my parents, their dog ate the whole big jar. Fireworks, of a sort, ensued.

I woke up the other night to sounds in the kitchen, to find one of our cats raiding the cupboards for their treats. This bag has been moved multiple times. Yes, opened themselves too.
