Hello! One of my male zebra danios has one white spot on the top of his bottom jaw. It's not white spot, there is only one, it's been there for a month.

Anyone know what it is?

I doubt I can get pictures unfortunately.

Ammonia zero
Nitrate and nitrite fine (checked myself)
pH I think 6.8

Could we see a photo?

As I said I doubt I can get one (he moves quickly) but I'll try!

Yah that makes sense... But it can be very hard to help without it

Best I can get!

Well I can definitely assure you that it is 100% NOT ich.
You were right on that.
I cannot say for a fact that I know what it is. But I'm sure you can use salt to help treat it.
Follow API's salt instructions for no more than two weeks and that might just heal it

Right, it went away a bit, but now it is back and is also affecting another danio! I need some help as to what this is please!

How long have you had tour tank setup for? Any recent changes?

How often do you do water changes, and how much volume?

Is the fish (and the newly affected one) behaving any different than before (swim patterns, eating, etc)

Barring anything else, a massive water change and salt treatment would be the best course of action at this point, since so far it seems nobody can pinpoint exactly what's going on here

I'm going to bump this, it's still here :)

I don't need help on how to get rid of it really anymore, it has only stayed the same and doesn't bother them, I'm just intruiged now :)
