I have, in my freshwater tank this green, fuzzy, clumpy, algae. It sort of looks like green lambs wool. It starts at the top of the plastic plants and grows down. After a bit it comes off in little tiny bits and floats around the tank. What is it and how do I get rid of it? Thanks!

You might be able to identify your algae here but if you have plastic plants the cure won't help you much.
Good tank husbandry, no overstocking, water changes, good filter flow etc is your best bet. There'll be trace ammonia coming from somewhere.

IMO

Thanks for the article! Overstocking is most certtainly a contributing factor (now anyways) due to a well meaning mother and three more fish!
