Hi everyone

First time posting here. Please could you tell me the name of this plant in my aquarium? I have been trying to identify it without much success!

And the other in the background is non aquatic so you should remove it as it will eventually rot and leech ammonia into your water. :)

Looks like some kind of cordyline to me, not an aquatic plant

The plant in back is cabomba! P.A.H sell them as aquarium plants.

I don't think so, looks more like this

He's talking about the "Ribbon Plant" which is actually a type of bamboo and not a true aquatic plant. I have them in my tank too but I'm slowly replacing them with real aquatic plants.

Im afraid cazgar is right. Its a house plant.

Could have been worse. I thought this wouldn't be done, but after googling it...

this came up. I hope that tank won't have fish, otherwise... OUCH!

Neither of them look fully aquatic to me. A lot of Pet Stores Sell plants that look pretty, and can live underwater longer than some plants, but can't live in such conditions for too long.

I bought some "Dracaena" for my tank when i first started, i had no idea is was not aquatic at the time, and it died off pretty quickly. It single handedly stopped me using real plants for a long while.

How can fish stores get away with selling these if they are not aquatic plants?
