i am looking to get a 5 in 1 test kit because at the minute i only have the pH one, so what is the average price for one?

I got the API kit (which seems to be quite well recommended around here) for £12. You can probably get it online for cheaper but I couldn't be bothered to wait for delivery

I was gonna say, even with the conversion to dollars thats $25. I payed prob $30 dollars for mine or around 14 or 15 pounds

I got one of the API kits for about $30 US as well... I've seen the exact same thing on the web since then for about $16 at Drs. Foster and Smith and Big Al's. I think I know where I'll be getting test kits from in the future now, a lot of stuff seems to go for about twice the price in the big chain stores like Petco as it does online, haven't checked my not so local LFS for prices lately though. Not sure which sites carry such things in the UK, but it may be the same situation with pricing.

I bought an API kit from pets at home for £18, although I've since heard you can ge them for around £15 (inc postage) on Ebay
And I bought a Tetra 5 in 1 test kit for £8.50 (inc postage) off Ebay
So yeah, I'd say have a look on Ebay first

Don't bother with the Tetra 5 in 1 test strips. They're not worth the paper they're made of.

I'll second that vote of no-confidence in the tetra 5-in-1 strips....

It told me my Ph was off the scale (+8.4) .... tested using a liquid test and its bang on neutral....

gotta agree with you their there rubbish never got on with them at all!!! IMO liquid test kits are more accurate, an soooo much easier to read
